CBD Infused Cocktails can take your Holidays from Stressful to CalmLet's face it. It's been a tough, stressful couple of years. This holiday season everyone I know is shooting for a simpler, stress free holiday with fewer gifts that focuses on reconnecting with friends and family. Instead of stressing out about all of the shopping, cooking entertaining and full social calendar this year try to relax and enjoy yourself. How do you relax during the holidays when there is so much to do? Try unwinding and helping your friends unwind with a hand crafted cbd cocktail. Want to wake up feeling fresh in the morning rather than slightly blurry? Alcohol free CBD cocktails allow you to relax while maintaining your focus.
If you want to add some spirits to your cbd cocktails, we are happy to tell you that most people who add CBD to their cocktails report drinking less alcohol (most likely due to the added relaxing effects of CBD). In addition, while alcohol can make you tired, it can burn off quickly and disrupt your sleep patterns. A CBD drink might help maintain your sleep patterns, so you sleep off the alcohol and start off each day calm, cool and well rested.
CBD Cocktails began showing up in bars and restaurants a few years ago but they've come a long way since then. In addition to just using straight up cbd oil in cocktails, now there is also a wide variety of cbd beverages available for making super easy and delicious alcohol free cocktails, or alcoholic cocktails with cbd to take the edge of the holiday stresses.
We have all the ingredients you need to make a finely crafted CBD Cocktail for your holiday celebrations or a warm cbd beverage to bring a little warmth and relaxation to your holiday season.
Note: How much CBD should you put in a cocktail? That depends on how many cocktails you plan to have. We recommend 10-25 mg of cbd per beverage. Everyone's body reacts differently to cbd so you may have to experiment a bit but we do not recommend drinking 3 or 4 25 mg cbd beverages in a night. If you are going to drink 3-4 drinks only use 5-10 mg of cbd per drink. Our Wyld cbd sodas have 25 mg/can so a 12 oz can is perfect for 2 drinks. Our Jeng CBD Infused beverages have 11-14 mg of cbd/can and is designed so that people can have multiple drinks in a night without feeling sleepy. Moderate amounts of cbd can relax you but high levels of cbd may make you sleepy.
We've included some of our favorite simple chilled cbd cocktail recipes below as well as some hot cbd drinks for you to sip by the fire and keep you warm and cozy.

CBD Gin and TonicYou can read below for more on why a gin and tonic is the perfect pairing for a cbd cocktail but first we are going to give you the best simple and delicious recipe for a cbd gin and tonic you can find:
CBD is a perfect pairing for a gin and tonic because gin is made with a variety of herbs including juniper and the herbal flavor makes it a perfect pairing for a cannabis extract (cbd oil is made from cannabis extract) which contains many of the same terpenes (essential oils that give a plant its scent) as juniper. Juniper contains the following terpenes that are also found in most cannabis plants (and therefore most full spectrum cbd oils) α-pinene · Myrcene · Limonene · γ-terpinene · linalool · terpine-4-ol · geraniol · borneol) α-pinene is found in rosemary and limonine is found in lemons and limes so they are the perfect garnishes for this cocktail. Note: A little known fact- lemon and lime peels also contain cbd. Goop has a nice recipe for a cbd gin and tonic. For their recipe we would recommend using a lemon flavored cbd oil like Charlotte’s web 17 mg Lemon Twist Oil or Charlotte’s Web Maximum Strength Lemon Twist CBD Oil. If you are on a budget go for the 17 mg. You will just have to use more of it (we would recommend a full dropper (I ml) per drink. The maximum strength (at 60 mg/ml) is more than 3 times stronger than the 17 mg oil so you can use just 1/3 of a dropper (1/3 ml) per drink. We would recommend shaking the cbd oil, ice and gin together and pouring it over the tonic in a glass to better incorporate the oil into the drink. It will still float on top but you will get better distribution this way. Incidentally we do recommend a twist of lemon peel on the top (or for the Jeng and Tonic, a twist of Lime). Here is a little known fact: Lemon peels also contain cbd. In addition, limonene, the terpene responsible for the citrussy smell of lemons is also found in most cannabis plants in varying concentrations depending on the strain. |
